I heard a rumor. . . that you're looking for Allison's Powers Page.

1. Reality Manipulation
DESCRIPTION:
Allison’s canon power is the ability to manipulate reality. Most of the time, this starts with the phrase ā€œI heard a rumor...ā€ and the person (and reality itself) listening will be convinced of the validity of the statement she just made, or obey her command she’s given them (/or physical reality shifts just slightly to come into accordance with her’ rumor/lie’). While the trigger phrase is a guide for funneling her power, it is not required, and she can and has powered her intentions into other words, or a single word, without the four-word starter.

Allison has spent much of her life using her ā€˜rumoring’ power over reality to make her life more convenient: persuading her father and the world at large (from passing strangers to people in Hollywood to her young daughter), to go along with what she wanted in any given moment. This power works on any ā€˜being’ with a sense of consciousness/ability to be directed (people, animals, aliens, robots, undead, etc.).

Allison’s manipulation of reality can also cause things to appear out of thin air. She has made things as tiny as a container of paste, to a medium infestation of cockroaches, to a same-size living copy of herself, to a large anthropomorphic statue several stories high appear by simply rumoring them into existence. Objects Allison creates are not bound by the laws of physics or her knowledge of the inner workings of an object, only her intention of directing something to work as it should.

WEAKNESS:
Where it comes to the ā€˜persuasion’ part of her powers and other characters, those with a strong will may be affected to a lesser degree or not at all. This will, of course, not be used at all on those who choose to opt-out from interacting with this part of Allison’s powers entirely. Also, the more people she tries to rumor at once (say with like rumoring a crowd to ā€œcalm downā€ or ā€œrun away,ā€ instead of panicking during an attack), the faster she’ll be exhausted/unable to function (by the exponent of the number of people it’s effecting).

One of the hardest parts of Allison’s powers, which she’s been wrestling with her all her life, in the weakness box, is that she cannot undo them once they’ve been spoken into existence. She cannot tell time, an object, a person to go back to what/how they were before she spoke those first words. It would only be a new second-changed section reality again instead of the first being undone. This is, in large part, why she refrains from using her powers except in need of her own defense most of the time.

Due to the nature of Allison’s Reality Manipulation powers canonical dubious-consent at times, nothing will be done in a thread (to another character or ā€˜god-modded’ around other characters) with Allison’s powers without explicit communication & planning between players beforehand. Anything game-affecting will only be with mod approval.
2. Lie Detection
DESCRIPTION:
Allison, in her canon, is already a character who is very astute at noticing character shifts/changes/the ā€˜level of bs’ people use when talking to her, and she’s often calling people on it. In general and specific this power reacts in any level of duplicity someone near her is trying to use on her. This power does require other people to be speaking/overheard for the power to react, so it wouldn’t go off just because someone was furtive somewhere in the near vicinity of anywhere Allison happens to be. It is limited to a twenty-foot radius around her, and there is no target minimum.

WEAKNESS:
While Allison won’t be able to tell exactly how or what a person is lying about, she’ll still get a Bad Feelingā„¢ that something is very off when someone is lying to her (whether a tiny white lie, a massive one, a lie of omission). This will display as a vague pins and needles sensation (for small customer service daily 'lies of no consequence' that happen all the time in a day) to a sudden headache, stomach ache, even physical shaking, the severity of which will depend on the severity of the lie in question being told to her specifically. The strength of the reaction grows bigger as the lie stays constant, and can end up with her having to get away from the person in question if the lie is severe enough and doesn’t end.

While Allison can pick up that multiple people in the same twenty-foot radius of her are lying, she can’t tell who specifically it’s coming from at that point with total accuracy. She has no control over honing the power itself to focus on only one person and not the whole twenty-foot radius around her. As well, if multiple people are lying to her at the same time, her physical reaction to it becomes as exponentially stronger/overwhelming as the number of people involved, making it reduce by the same exponent number of people the length of time she could physically manage being near it/them.

If you have any concerns or questions you'd like to have a conversation about, before playing with Allison, I'm entirely amenable and available (1) below in the comments, (2) on Allison's private messages, (3) in an email, and (4) on Plurk. No hard feelings all around, and I wish you the best in all your games. For Meta Heroes Only, players will need to fill out the small form below for Power 2 before I will tag Allison back to anyone just so things can be all on the up-and-up for funsy playtimes.
